What I'm eating
Caramelized Pineapple
Ingredients:
6 thick pieces of pineapple
1 orange
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1. Preheat the oven to Broil.
2. Place pineapple on a cooking sheet and squeeze half the orange and sprinkle half the brown sugar on the tops of the slices.
3. Broil for 3 minutes
4. Take out of the oven and flip the pieces to put the remainders of the orange juice and brown sugar on.
5. Broil for 5 more minutes.
It's probably really yummy with some ice cream, but I skipped that part!

Alexa Chung + Madewell
Yes, you've read correctly. Alexa Chung has gotten together with Madewell for a Fall 2010 collection...did I mention it is FAB?

“It” girl Alexa Chung presented her first collaboration for Madewell on Monday night at the Bowery Hotel surrounded by a sea of friends and hipsters. The collection was as sweet as can be, but not in a saccharine kind of way. The designer showed looks with a Sixties schoolgirl vibe from cute Peter Pan-collared tea frocks and cool denim dresses to shrunken preppy blazers and high-waisted short shorts. According to Chung, it was an effortless venture. |

Thrifting finds

I made a long over due stop into one of my favorite thrift stores in town and got a ton of new things today. I brought along one of my best friends that has never been big into thrift stores. She made out with a fabulous 100% down comforter for a very low price. I got a lot of shirts and tops, as usual. I feel like I could never have enough shirts.

Bits of the weekend
I hate to say it, but I really didn't do anything this weekend at all. I put in a lot of hours for work this weekend and spent some time with my friends. My boyfriend and I avoided Valentines Day entirely, so yesterday was just a lazy day.
Today all 3 of my classes were cancelled so I've taken the day to catch up on school work, including a ton of drawings and a paper I need to write. Not to mention, I started working out again for the first time since I've been sick and it feels great!
